Whose class are you in?

Larwood Primary School aims to create a nurturing environment for children with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. A Warm Welcome to Larwood School

A Warm Welcome to Our School Community

Thank you for visiting Larwood School. Whether you’re a parent or carer exploring options for your child, a professional seeking information, or simply interested in learning more about what makes our school special, we’re delighted you’re here.

Every Child Belongs Here

At Larwood, we don’t ask children to fit in – we help them discover where they belong. There’s an important difference. Fitting in means changing who you are to match everyone else. Belonging means being valued, accepted and celebrated for exactly who you are.

Our pupils are at the absolute heart of everything we do. Every decision we make, every lesson we plan, every support strategy we develop starts with one question: What’s best for our children?

A Place to Thrive

We understand that every child’s journey is unique. Many of our pupils arrive at Larwood having faced challenges in their previous settings. They may have struggled with anxiety, found it hard to manage their emotions, or felt misunderstood by the adults around them.

Here, things are different.

We see beyond the behaviour. We take time to understand each child’s story, their strengths, their worries and what makes them tick. With small classes, nurturing relationships and a team who genuinely care, we create an environment where children feel safe enough to take risks, make mistakes and grow.

More Than Just a School

Larwood is a community built on trust, respect and belief. We believe in second chances, fresh starts and the power of positive relationships. We celebrate effort as much as achievement. We recognise that progress looks different for every child – and that’s something to be proud of.

Our pupils learn that it’s okay to struggle, that asking for help is brave, and that being part of a team means supporting one another. Through our school motto – Achieve, Believe, Expect, Enjoy – we help children rediscover their love of learning and, perhaps most importantly, their belief in themselves.

You’re Part of Our Story

Parents, carers and families are vital partners in everything we do. We work alongside you, keeping communication open and honest, celebrating successes together and supporting through the tougher moments. You know your child best, and we value your voice.

If you’re a professional working with one of our pupils or considering a referral, we welcome your collaboration. Together, we can make a real difference.

Come and See for Yourself

Words on a website can only tell you so much. The real magic of Larwood is in the laughter you hear in our classrooms, the pride on a child’s face when they achieve something they didn’t think possible, and the warmth you feel the moment you walk through our doors.

We’d love to show you around, answer your questions and introduce you to our incredible team and pupils.

Welcome to Larwood – where every child belongs.

If you’d like to arrange a visit or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to help.
