Larwood School Hiring Facilities

Larwood School is set in a nice and quiet area is the perfect place for holding functions and
events. There is adequate car parking and facilities on-site. We are pleased to offer for hire
certain areas of the school grounds: the School Hall, Playing Fields, Play Barn and Astro Turf.

These spaces are available for private hire in the evening, on weekends, and in our school
holidays (please click the link to see our term dates or enquire as our holidays may not
mirror mainstream holidays). Our facilities are available for hosting many events, such as:
creative classes, training events, fitness related classes, meetings, workshops and courses,
children’s birthday parties, holiday clubs and other private or community events

Larwood School will always consider reasonable requests for hiring the school’s facilities for
local community and educational groups, but priority will be given to the following uses:

After-school clubs during term-time for Larwood pupils only
Activities that the residential team have in place
Evening events organised by school, parents evening, gym and dance display, school
pantomime etc.
All lettings to outside clubs etc. will be judged against potential clashes with existing users

Hire Considerations & Priorities:

We welcome reasonable hire requests from local community and educational groups.
However, priority will be given to

After-school clubs during term time (for Brandles pupils only)
Activities planned by the residential teams
School-organised evening events (e.g. parents’ evenings, performances, gym/dance displays)
All bookings will be assessed for potential clashes with existing school activities or users

Prices for the Hall, Field and Play Barn are £20 per hour with an additional £100 deposit, returnable after the event has taken place. For a half day (4 hours) we offer a rate of £70. For a full day (8 hours) we offer a rate of £135. To book for an extended full day (8 + hours) we offer a rate of £200.

The rates for hiring out different areas are listed in the table in the section above. We may decide that certain organisations or activities can use the premises for a reduced rate, or free of charge, if it supports the core aims of the school.

We may decide to impose an additional cleaning fee on top of the hiring rates.

Rates are also subject to inflation and may be increased to reflect specific increased running costs, such as energy costs.

The School Hall, Play Barn and Classrooms are available between 4:30pm and 10pm.
Monday – Friday, and on weekends and in School holidays between 6.00am and 11:00pm.

The Playing Field and Astro are available between 3:30pm – 8pm, Monday – Friday
(depending on day light as no lighting) and 8:00am – 8:00pm on weekends (depending on
day light as no lighting).
