How our Points System Works:
Points Period: Points run from Friday to Thursday each week
- Daily Maximum: 20 points can be earned each day.
- Fresh Start Approach: Points are awarded in short intervals (1 lesson = 2 points).
- Clean Slate: Each lesson offers a fresh start for earning points.
How to Earn Your Points
- Try Your Best: Demonstrating effort in activities.
- Be Safe: Following safety guidelines and showing care towards others.
- Each Behaviour: Worth 2 points per session.
Weekly Rewards
- On Wednesday children make their 3 choices for Friday activity – if they earn 65% or more, they’ll get one of their choices! The higher the points, the better chance of getting first choice.
- Points are tallied on Thursday.
- After school on Thursday, adults will group children for their reward activities. Children are made aware which activity they have earned in class on Friday morning.
- Friday afternoon Reward Activities (12:45 pm – 2:00 pm) based on points earned.
- Celebration of achievements during Friday’s Praise Assembly.
Points are earned and never lost or taken away
- Pupils can earn up to 20 points a day, totalling 100 points for the week. If pupils earn 65 points or more in a week then they can access activities on Friday afternoon, however if pupils earn less than this then they will be in reflection where they will discuss their week with a member of staff and catch up on any missed learning.
- If a pupil earns more than 90 points for five consecutive weeks, they will receive a personalised target in week six. If they meet this target, they will earn a light blue shirt.
- If a pupil earns more than 97 points for five consecutive weeks, they will receive a personalised target in week six. If they meet this target, they will earn a hoody.
Light Blue Shirt Benefits

- More likely to get their first choices for skills & activities
- Recognisably most trustworthy

- Hoodies can sit on the benches for assemblies.
Maintaining a shirt or hoody
- Once a pupil has earned a light blue shirt or hoody, they will be expected to continue achieving the same point level required to receive it (90 points for shirts and 97 points for hoodies).
- If a pupil earns fewer than the required points in a given week, it will count as a “grace week.” A second week below the required points will mean they revert to a standard colour shirt. A third week in which they fall below the required points will result in the loss of their shirt or hoody.
- If a pupil with a hoody or light blue shirt has a week with multiple incidents, the senior leadership team may decide to remove their status. This will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
