Concerns and Complaints
At Larwood School, we understand that parents and carers may sometimes have questions or worries. This is completely normal, and we want to reassure you that we are here to listen and help.
- Concerns are usually everyday matters that can be sorted quickly by speaking with the right member of staff. These might include queries about homework, classroom routines, or minor incidents at school. We encourage you to raise concerns as soon as they arise so we can work together to resolve them informally. In many cases, a short conversation is all that’s needed.
- Complaints are more serious matters where you believe the school has acted unfairly or not met its duty of care. This may include significant concerns about your child’s progress, the quality of teaching, or disciplinary decisions. A complaint should only be made if an issue has not been resolved through discussion with the relevant staff member.
If you have a concern, please speak to your child’s teacher, form tutor, or head of year in the first instance. If it cannot be resolved informally, we will guide you through the next steps of our formal complaints procedure.
We value open communication and believe that by working together, we can achieve the best outcomes for your child. To make a complaint, please follow this link.
