Pobble – Making Writing Ridiculously Exciting!

In spring 2017, Larwood School introduced Pobble.com to its pupils. Pobble makes writing exciting because it gives children the chance to become published authors!

Each week, class teachers choose one or two pupils to have their work published. Teachers simply take a photo of the writing and upload it to Pobble. From there, teachers, pupils and parents can read and comment on the work. Everyone has their own login, making it easy to share feedback and encouragement.

Children love logging in to see if their writing has been published. They enjoy reading the likes and positive comments from their friends, parents and teachers. Pobble even ran a workshop to show pupils how to comment properly. All comments must be kind, helpful and encouraging — otherwise, they won’t be published.

Pobble has truly motivated our pupils. Knowing that their writing could be read by people around the world gives them a real sense of pride and purpose. It’s also helping them become more confident and thoughtful writers through peer evaluation.
